Dr Artin Backtash-Rad is a senior educator, academic leader, and educational innovator with more than two decades of experience spanning schools, higher education, and professional training.

He is the creator of Guided-Flexible Education (GFE), a pioneering higher education system designed to empower both students and academics through co-created teaching, learning, and assessment. His research and practice in this area have positioned him at the forefront of educational innovation and student-centred learning.

Beyond the classroom, Dr Backtash-Rad is a dedicated mentor and coach to academics and teachers, supporting them to refine their practice, achieve professional recognition, and deliver greater impact in education. His leadership extends internationally: he has acted as chief consultant to multiple schools and universities, advising on growth strategies, internationalisation, curriculum reform, and performance improvement.
