1. Aims

– To clearly explain when and why parental consent is required.
– To ensure parents make informed decisions about their child’s participation and data use.
– To comply with safeguarding, GDPR, and best practice standards.

Consent will be requested for the following:
– Use of student photographs or videos for learning, marketing, or publicity purposes.
– Participation in trips, competitions, or activities outside the centre.
– Sharing of student data with relevant external bodies (e.g., exam boards, competition organisers).
– Emergency medical treatment if required during tuition activities.

3. How Consent is Collected

– Consent is collected through signed parental forms provided at enrolment and when specific activities arise.
– Parents have the right to withdraw consent at any time by notifying Edurium in writing.
– No student will be disadvantaged if consent is not provided; alternative arrangements will be offered where possible.

4. Retention of Consent Forms

All consent forms are securely stored in compliance with data protection laws and retained only as long as necessary.

5. Review of Policy

This Consent Policy is reviewed annually to ensure compliance with safeguarding and GDPR regulations.
