Attendance Policy
At Edurium, regular attendance and punctuality are essential for student progress and achievement. This Attendance Policy outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and procedures to ensure that students make the most of their tuition sessions.
1. Aims
– To emphasise the importance of consistent attendance for academic success.
– To set clear expectations for parents and students regarding punctuality and attendance.
– To establish procedures for reporting absences and managing missed sessions.
2. Attendance Expectations
– Students are expected to attend all scheduled tuition sessions regularly.
– Parents are responsible for ensuring their child arrives on time and is collected promptly at the end of each session.
– Repeated lateness or absences can negatively impact progress and may affect continued enrolment in Edurium programmes.
3. Reporting Absences
– Parents must inform Edurium in advance if their child will be absent from a session.
– Notification should be made via phone (07362 377831) or email ([email protected]).
– If no notification is received, the absence will be recorded as unauthorised.
4. Missed Sessions
– Fees for missed sessions are non-refundable.
– Where possible, Edurium may offer catch-up sessions, but this is not guaranteed.
– Consistent non-attendance may result in a review of the student’s place at Edurium.
5. Punctuality
– All students must arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of their session.
– Lateness disrupts learning for all students in the group and will be recorded.
– Tutors may refuse entry if a student arrives excessively late to a session.
6. Study Breaks
– Parents may request a study break of at least one full calendar month by notifying Edurium in writing.
– During an approved study break, tuition fees will not be charged.
– Requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.
7. Review of Policy
This Attendance Policy is reviewed annually to ensure clarity and effectiveness in supporting student achievement.
